When handbrushing on a scale model Mr Hobby recommends a paint to thinner ratio of (1:0.8~1) or 1 part paint to 0.8~1.0 parts thinner. When airbrushing, Mr. Hobby recommends to use a paint to thinner ratio of (1:1~2) or 1 part paint to 1~2.0 parts thinner.

Mr. Color Thinner is the recommended thinner to be used.

Mr. Leveling Thinner is used to slow down the drying speed of the paint-thinner mixture. It is recommended for use in painting gloss paints or if the paint quickly dries up during airbrushing that it clogs up the nozzle of the airbrush.

Mr. Rapid Thinner speeds up the drying speed of the paint-thinner mixture, it is recommended for use in matt & metallic paints.

Mr. Hobby says that these thinners should not be used with the Aqueous Hobby Color and Acrysion line of Mr. Hobby paints.

Always close the paint lid tightly after use and minimize the time the open bottle is left out in the open air to prevent the paint from drying out.

Store the paints away from direct sunlight and store in a cool dry place.

Always paint in a well ventilated area, do not inhale the fumes or allow others around you to do so. It is highly recommended to wear a respirator mask to prevent inhaling the paint fumes and use a painting booth that will expel the paint fumes safely.
