1/48 Arii Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat Completed Pics

Finished building this 1/48 Arii Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat together with the 1/48 F4U-1A Corsair. By doing this I was able to save on some paint by painting the dark blue parts of this together. I wasn't disappointed with this build as I was looking for a simple relax build with a scale model kit without much parts.

Just finished building the 1/48 Arii Chance Vought F4U-1A Corsair of mine and I have to say that it was a fun build. Learned a lot during this build. Some experiments worked out fine on this build others didn't, I therefore can't say that this will be the last Corsair I will ever build. Considering also that the Corsair is one of my most favorite plane designs, I definitely see myself building a whole lot more of these in the future.

Had some time the past few days to continue my build of the 1/48 Arii Chance Vought F4U-1A Corsair. At this point I had finished building the main fuselage and prepped it for painting by applying some masking.

Got this from HobbyLink Japan, a 1/48 Chance-Vought F4U-1A Corsair by Arii. It ruled the skies in the Pacific War in World War II against the indomitable Mitsubishi Zero of the Imperial Japanese Army. The Corsair is one of my favorite planes from World War II, owing to the unique gull wing design of its wings. It outclassed its comparative fighters from the Imperial Japanese Forces owing to its large engine that gave it superior speed as well as its tough frame and more heavier weapons load out.

Got this from HobbyLink Japan, the 1/48 Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat by Arii. A simple but beautiful scale model kit rendition of the beloved frontline fighter that helped immensely turn the tide of the Pacific War during World War II. The F6F Hellcat replaced the terribly outclassed F4F Wildcat as the main carrier fighter in World War II. It was able to best the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero with its superior speed, toughness and weapons suite and therefore win the air war in the Pacific.
