Recently released by Bandai was the Aegis Gundam of Athrun Zala from Gundam Seed as a 1/100 Master Grade model kit. In the opening sequence of the Gundam Seed anime, the Aegis Gundam was stolen from a secret off planet Earth Federation base by a ZAFT commando team. Like the Aegis Gundam in the anime, this model kit has the capability to transform to the fearsome looking mobile armor mode that gives it more maneuverability than when it is in robot mode.
