1/100 SVMS-010 Over Flag Build Part IV
Continuing the 1/100 SVMS-010 Over Flag. Previous post on this build can be found here. Thanks to a window in the rather rainy weather in my parts of the world, was able to sneak in some time painting this kit.
Here's one set of the rear jet packs that enable the Over Flag to fly. Paints used for this build were Bosny Flat Black and on top of that some Bosny Plastic Primer to help the paint stick on to the model kit. Prior to painting I sanded the parts with 600 grit sand paper, washed it in water then allowed it to naturally evaporate for a day.
Then here's the said jet packs attached to the smaller set of wings.
This assembly then connects to the waist of the Over Flag.
The larger wing has some jet engine parts connected to it. Here are the said jet engines painted with Bosny Flat black. For the fan color I used Gundam Marker Phantom Grey.
Engines are then attached to the engine bay. I snipped off a little bit of the male pegs so that they can join easily with the female end at the other half of the part.
More pictures found at the succeeding pages.
Both engines featured in this picture.
Here's one of the engine assemblies with the wing being attached to it.
There is a center block where both wing assemblies will be attached to.
Then finally pictures of the wing assemblies attached to their respective ports at the back of the Over Flag.
Looking at it now, it kinda reminds me of the old biplanes used in World War I with the 2 wing design and all. Part V of this build can be found here.
