Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Maximilian Jenius TV Version Transformation English Manual

Got a Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Maximilian Jenius TV version from HobbyLink Japan a couple of weeks back. I was going to translate the transformation manual but upon checking I realized that the manual is exactly the same as the Yamato 1/60 VF-1A Mass Production version, or more likely its the opposite? *snicker*.

A Beautiful Problem to have

Once again, a beautiful problem to have, trying to figure out which kit to build next. Been stockpiling some Revell model kits lately because of my affinity to them as I built them when I was a kid. This is a nostalgia run for me. Now that I'm an adult I finally have the chance to go back to those kits I've always wanted to build as well as reclaim those kits that I've lost in the past due to one cause or another.

Kotobukiya 1/72 HMM RZ-046 Shadow Fox English Manual & Color Guide

From Zoids New Century Zero comes Brad Hunter's Shadow Fox released by Kotobukiya as a 1/72 Highend Master Model. Prior to the Shadow Fox, Brad was piloting a Command Wolf as part of the Blitz Team. In the anime, the Shadow Fox was portrayed as an agile and fast Zoid.

Bandai MG 1/100 Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound English Manual & Color Guide

For the month of November, Bandai releases for its Master Grade line the Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound from the Gundam AGE anime series. Prior to this they already released a 1/144 High Grade version of the Dark Hound. Aside from mobile suit mode, this model kit is capable of transforming to a mobile armor mode, with the modification of a few parts in the kit.

Figure-rise 6 Wild Tiger English Manual & Color Guide

Released this year by Bandai is another Wild Tiger model kit for their Figure-rise collection. Wild Tiger is part of the popular Tiger & Bunny anime. 1/8 MG Figure-rise version of this was also released previously.

Bandai SD 00 Gundam English Manual & Color Guide

Released by Bandai in 2008 was the Super Deformed version of the 00 Gundam from Gundam 00 Second Season. The 00 Gundam was the main ride of Setsuna F. Seie in the series and was more powerful than his previous Gundam Exia because it used twin GN drives as compared to the regular 1 GN drive configuration. Kinda sad that they blew this up in the Gundam 00 movie...the bastards *snicker*

Bandai SD Gundam Exia English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2008 by Bandai was the Super Deformed version of the Gundam Exia. The Gundam Exia made its appearance in the Gundam 00 anime series and was the main ride in Season 1 of the series protagonist, Setsuna F. Seie.

Bandai HG 1/144 Byarlant Custom English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam Unicorn OVA comes the Byarlant Custom which was released by Bandai as a 1/144 High Grade model kit. Before, I couldn't say that I loved the look of this mobile suit. But after seeing its fight scenes in the Gundam Unicorn OVA, where it made mince meat of its enemies, the design suddenly blew me away. Loved how the way it used the thrusters in its shoulder for maneuvering.

Kotobukiya 1/72 Jigabachi AV English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2007 by Kotobukiya as part of their Real Mechanical Collection series was the Jigabachi AV. The Jigabachi AV appeared in an episode of Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG. In the said episode a Jigabachi AV goes rogue because of its AI computer and its up to Section 9 and their Tachikomas to bring back order to the rogue helicopter. Aside from the Jigabachi AV, the kit also comes with a small Tachikoma. The Tachikoma are spider like mobile tanks with AI computers driving them and are used by the team of Section 9 for mobility and light armored support.

Kotobukiya 1/72 Rayleonard 03-Aaliyah English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2007 by Kotobukiya for their Armored Core line is the 1/72 Rayleonard 03-Aaliyah. Armored Core is the popular console based game where the player controls and armored mech. If I'm not mistaken, this particular kit is the first kit from the Armored Core NEXT line of Kotobukiya. A lot of the kits in the Armored Core line are configured to specifically accept some major components of the Rayleonard 03-Aaliyah, as stated in their individual manuals.

Kotobukiya 1/72 Rosenthal CR-Hogire English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2008 by Kotobukiya for their Armored Core line of model kits is the 1/72 Scale Rosenthal CR-Hogire. Armored Core is the popular console based game in Japan which has the player piloting armored mechs. As part of the Variable Infiinty line of model kits, the CR-Hogire is capable of swapping out parts with the other mechas from this series.

Kotobukiya HMM 1/72 RZ-042 COMMAND WOLF AC English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2008 by Kotobukiya was the 1/72 Highend Master Model of the Command Wolf AC (Attack Custom) from the Zoids Universe. This is the attack custom variant of the command wolf which sports twin long range anti-zoid cannons at the back as well as assist boosters on its flanks.

Kotobukiya Frame Arms SA-16d Khanjar (Renewal Ver) English Manual & Color Guide

From the Frame Arms line of Kotobukiya comes the SA-16d Khanjar (Renewal Version). This was released last July and is another flavor of the original SA-16 Stylet. Correspondingly, this model kit can be built as either a SA-16d Khanjar (Renewal version) or as a SA-16 Stylet.

Bandai 1/1000 Combined Cosmo Fleet Set 1 English Manual & Color Guide

Released last October by Bandai was the 1/1000 Combined Cosmo Fleet from the Yamato 2199 anime series. Great kit to go along with the 1/1000 Battleship Yamato from the said same series that was released earlier this year. The kit comes with the Kongou Space Battleship, Murasame Space Cruiser and Yukikaze Space Assault Destroyer.

Bandai SD Strike Noir Gundam English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2006 by Bandai was the Super Deformed version of the Strike Noir Gundam from Gundam SEED Stargazer anime short. The Strike Noir was piloted by Sven Cal Bayan for the secret Gundam unit known as Phantom Pain. There was also a Master Grade version that was released by Bandai of this particular mecha.

Kotobukiya 1/72 Omer Project Magnus English Manual & Color Guide

Released in September of this year by Kotobukiya is the 1/72 Omer Project Magnus from the Armored Core line of video games. If you are looking for an alternative mecha based model kit to build when gunpla suddenly becomes stale to you, I would recommend the ones made by Kotobukiya as they have a large line-up and are built up in a similar fashion as gunpla. Everybody needs a break once in a while so that we can acquire back our taste for the stuff we love most.

Bandai SD Destiny Gundam English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2006 by Bandai was the Super Deformed version of Shinn Asuka's Destiny Gundam from the Gundam Seed Destiny anime series. Prior to piloting the Destiny Gundam, he was the pilot of the Impulse Gundam that was stationed on the Minerva space cruiser. The Destiny Gundam was personally presented to him by PLANT chairman, Gilbert Durandal.
