Dunked the parts in a cup of detergent water in order to remove the tape residue of my botched painting escapade last week. It took me a while to work on this kit as I was trying to figure out how to remove the tape residue when I chanced upon the idea to dunk it in a cup of detergent water. This usually doesn't happen to me when I use masking tape so I was quite surprised why the tape decided to leave a lot of residue.
I'll leave it for a day then hopefully it will allow for the residue to be easily removed from the surface. I tried alcohol and a cotton swab recently but it didn't easily remove the residue. Plus of course it would be an expensive exercise having to use a lot of alcohol.
I just realized that with the rate I'm going, readers of this post might mistakenly conclude that this build is nothing more than a collection of photos of parts in a plastic cup *snicker*
