Tweeted by Yamato Toys today was the link to the product pages for the 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-17D with Super Pack as well as the 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-19F Emerald Force version from the Macross 7 anime series of the 90's.
Product pages can be found here and here. Those of us who weren't able to go to the Shizuoka Hobby show to see these wonderful toys live will finally be able to stop holding our breaths now as we get detailed shots of the toy courtesy of Yamato Toys.
Based from the information off the product pages, the VF-17D w/ Super Pack will retail for 31,080 yen and will be released by October of this year. The VF-19F meanwhile will retail for 23,100 yen and will be released by August of this year. No doubt because its easier to build than the VF-17D because only the head design had to be slightly changed (from the VF-19S body) and there are no Super Packs to develop.
I always get giddy whenever Yamato Toys releases a new Macross related toy. In my opinion, they have always been the best in recreating these wonderful images of our childhood into plastic creations.
I personally refer to the Super Pack of the VF-17D as the Stealth Pack, because they are so stealthy that I never noticed them in the Macross 7 anime *snicker* It was only when Yamato Toys announced that they were going to make a VF-17D with Super Packs that I learned of this.
