All good things must come to an end, as I'm finally finished building this gorgeous 1/100 model kit of the SVMS-010 Over Flag from Gundam 00 Season 1. The bright spot though, is that despite the build already ending, I get keep it and display it in my cabinet *snicker*
You can check out the build diary of this here. I actually had to re-take the pictures of this about 3 times because I wasn't pleased with the lighting of the first two batches of pictures. Translated Construction Manual and Color Guide of the Over Flag can be found here and here.
Paints used for this build were Pylox Flat Black, Bosny Flat Black, Pylox Pure White Flat and Pylox Misty Grey. Then all of that over a coat of Bosny Plastic Primer to help the paint to stick on the model kit. Most of the black parts were painted with Bonsy Flat Black, I switched to this from the initial Pylox Flat Black for no particular reason other than that the Pylox Flat Black spray can of mine was near depletion already.
For panel lining I used an ordinary 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. I forgot all about the Koh-i-noor pencils that I recently bought and was hoping to use for panel lining. I guess I'll try that out in my next build. RJ London Dull Lacquer was then sprayed on to seal in the panel lining. If you look closely you will actually see some over runs in the panel lining that weren't erased. My mistake for panel lining in bad light conditions. Lesson learned on my part.
