Bandai 1/72 VF-25G Messiah Model Kit English Translation Part II Page 5-8

Bandai 1/72 VF-25G Model Kit English Translation Part II Page 5-7
Just continuing with this post the English translation of the Manual for the Bandai 1/72 VF-25G's Messiah that I recently bought from HLJ. My plans to assemble this kit have really taken a back burner already as the budget I had allocated to buy paint for this kit with all went to an emergency expenditure to buy new tires for our car and have some other parts fixed... bleeehhhh...this will probably screw up my plans to pre-order a VF-27 Lucifer too, would have wanted to translate that one... *sniff*... Anyway, continuing where I left off from here.

The translation starts from page 5 of the manual and ends at page 8. Once again, I have to reiterate that there might be mistakes in my translation so kindly use at your own risk. Also, some boxes might be missing from the manual because I only put in this article the boxes with Japanese Characters in them. So please have your own VF-25G manual handy when assembling it and don't rely solely on this article.

I know, I know, the "grapple" part sounds funny. I lost a lot of time trying to discern what this text was trying to say in English. But if I translated it to my native Asian language I can easily understand it. Nuances and cultural differences I suppose between Western and Eastern languages. That's why it sounds funny in English, the reason however it doesn't sound funny in an Asian language is because they have similar words already.

I remember a translator friend trying to tell me before that as a translator you can get torn trying to translate it literally into the English language and subject the Japanese language to the harshness of sounding silly in the ears of the English speaking populace or you can translate it correctly to what its trying to imply and get called out for being subjective.
