Revell 1/48 F-105G Thunderchief "Wild Weasel"

Got this from HobbyLink Japan, the Revell 1/48 F-105G Thunderchief Wild Weasel. A re-release of the classic Monogram kit. This version of the Thunderchief is known as the "Wild Weasel" variant. Its main task during the Vietnam War was SAM suppression. In my opinion, pilots who flew these mission had nerves of steel, that's because these guys went looking for trouble.

Bandai HG 1/144 G-Xiphos Paint Conversion & Color Guide

From Gundam Age universe comes the BMS-005 G-Xiphos. This was released by Bandai this March as a 1/144 High Grade model kit. The kit comes with armed with a Dods Buster and a Heat Sword.

1/48 Arii Chance Vought F4U-1A Corsair

Got this from HobbyLink Japan, a 1/48 Chance-Vought F4U-1A Corsair by Arii. It ruled the skies in the Pacific War in World War II against the indomitable Mitsubishi Zero of the Imperial Japanese Army. The Corsair is one of my favorite planes from World War II, owing to the unique gull wing design of its wings. It outclassed its comparative fighters from the Imperial Japanese Forces owing to its large engine that gave it superior speed as well as its tough frame and more heavier weapons load out.

1/48 Arii Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat

Got this from HobbyLink Japan, the 1/48 Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat by Arii. A simple but beautiful scale model kit rendition of the beloved frontline fighter that helped immensely turn the tide of the Pacific War during World War II. The F6F Hellcat replaced the terribly outclassed F4F Wildcat as the main carrier fighter in World War II. It was able to best the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero with its superior speed, toughness and weapons suite and therefore win the air war in the Pacific.

Bandai HG 1/144 MS-06R-1A Zaku II (Shin Matsunaga) English Manual & Color Guide

Released by Bandai this March is the MS-06R-1A Zaku II of Zeon Ace, Shin Matsunaga. This particular model kit is a 1/144 Scale High Grade model kit. There was a much earlier release of this as a Master Grade kit. Shin Matsunaga is also affectionately known as the "White Wolf", hence the white color scheme and wolf logo on his Zaku II.

First Across the Rhine

Just finished reading First Across the Rhine by Col. David Pergrin (with Eric Hammel). It's an account of the actions of the 291st Engineer Combat Battallion during their assignment in the European front of World War II. The 291st was one of the most decorated engineering groups of the army having performed well during the Battle of Bulge and the ensuing drive towards the eventual invasion of Germany.

Kotobukiya 1/72 HMM RZ-031 Dibison Thoma ver English Manual & Color Guide

From Kotobukiya comes the 1/72 Highend Master Model of the Dibison of Thoma from Zoids Guardian Force anime. When I first heard that Kotobukiya was releasing a Dibison version I was expecting to see the Dibison of Leena Toros from Zoids New Century. But either way I was happy that Kotobukiya released a Dibison for the Highend Master Model (HMM) Line. I always considered the HMM line to be the Epoch of the Zoids Hobby line because of the excellent design incorporated into the model kits released.

Kotobukiya 1/100 Metal Gear Rex English Manual & Color Guide

From Kotobukiya comes the 1/100 Metal Gear Rex scale model kit from the Metal Gear franchise. You have to give it to the makers of the first nintendo game of this to come out with such a direct but simultaneously veiled name for the main antagonist.

Bandai HG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam 2 Banshee Norn (Unicorn Mode) English Manual, Paint Conversion & Color Guide

From Bandai comes the Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn (Unicorn Mode) from Gundam Unicorn OVA released as a 1/144 High Grade Model Kit. The Banshee at this part of the OVA is piloted by Riddhe Marcenas after its former pilot Marida Cruz was rescued by the Neo Zeon forces together with Banagher Links. I have to admit that I prefer this conventional design of the Banshee 2 as compared to the previous clawed one. This would definitely look good as an 1/100 Master Grade version.

Bandai HG 1/144 Shaldoll Rogue English Manual & Color Guide

Once again from Bandai comes the Shaldoll Rogue as seen in the Gundam AGE anime series. Of which I haven't watched one episode of *snicker*. This was released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit.

Bandai MG 1/100 Sinanju Stein Ver. Ka English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam UC Mobile Suit Variations comes the Sinanju Stein Ver Ka released by Bandai as a 1/100 Master Grade Model Kit. Definitely a beautiful re-renditioning of the already awesome looking Sinanju. One trademark of any Ver Ka is the ginormous amount of decals that come with it, its hard work but it pays off in the end with an awesome looking kit.
