Ramin Djawadi Scored Pacific Rim

As a certified mech-head, ever since I've heard that Guillermo del Toro was making a giant robot themed live action movie titled Pacific Rim. I've been giddy and excited like the 4 year old boy I once was when matching my favorite Japanese giant robot anime.

I've been avoiding the early trailers and news of the development of the movie, all the while waiting for the first reviews to trickle in once the movie was shown. Yep, I've learned in my later life that the best way to enjoy a movie is to learn only the most least possible so that you get the full effect of surprise which in effect amplifies that amazement and enjoyment.

Ok I digress. Once I've heard that the movie was good I was really looking forward to watching it. Once I've learned however that Ramin Djawadi scored the movie, the more I was excited to watch it. Ramin Djawadi really did it for me in maximizing my enjoyment of the Iron Man series. Judging from the Pacific Rim soundtrack it looks like Ramin Djawadi and Tom Morello (guitars) were able to hit a homerun on this one.

A movie can be great with mind blowing effects, awesome story/dialogue and good acting. But a movie can transcend the staircase of epicness with a suitably legendary sound track that can enhance the emotion of one's audience. If you're still humming that tune after you've left the movie house then you know that you had just been mindjobbed by the work of a great composer.
