Posted a couple of days back was the announcement for the 1/60 VF-1A Cavaliers at the Yamato Toys site. Then there was also the official product page. This toy is scheduled to be released by May of this year as part of the 30th Year Anniversary of Macross' toy line up.
The VF-1A Cavaliers version of the venerable VF-1A Valkyrie made its few seconds appearance in one of the episodes of the SDF Macross anime. Yamato Toys did us the favor of making a variant of the VF-1A in the deep blue colors of the Cavaliers
According to the literature found at the product page, this toy is coming out in May of this year and will be priced at 10,290 yen (after taxes), most online hobby shops in Japan will usually sell it at 9800 yen. It comes with a gunpod, pilot figure, missile pods, spare hands, stand attachments, manual and stickers. It has to be pointed out that the product page also stated that the pictures provided are that of prototype, so things might still change in the end product.
One can never really easily tell if Yamato will produce a second run of this. I'm assuming if they do it will be because of the sales generated by the first run. So if you want to get this, I'd recommend scooping up one right away.
