Saw this on an article at CNET. Its the Traxxas XO-1 that's guaranteed to go 100 mph (160.93 kph). More info could be found at the XO-1's product page. Traxxas is known for producing a lot of great competition grade RC's and they've been in the business for a long time already.
The catch is that it costs $1099.99 and the obligatory warning that this is not a toy and should be handled by expert RC drivers. Since the car is very fast, I'd recommend running this at the track and not on the street. At that speed your likely to get into a serious accident because of the car's capabilities.

4WD drive system separated from the chassis. I've always believed that a shaft system is the way to go as opposed to the belt drive system common in 4WD RC cars. With a shaft you won't have to worry about slippage as well as wear on the rubber belt. Of course the problem with a shaft is the added weight it usually penalizes an RC car with.
I remember when I was running 1/10 electric RC's and the operating time was just 5 min. Now with the advancements in battery & motor technology a running time above 15 minutes is the usual norm.
