Just watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides today with my wife and I have to say that it was truly entertaining. I was expecting an Orlando Bloom and the Flying Dutchman cameo but sadly that didn't materialize *snicker*
I don't think this role will earn Johnny Depp an Oscar nomination like what happened with the first "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie but I do hope that he finally gets one as he truly is a deserving actor. Kudos also to Geoffrey Rush for the excellent portrayal of Captain Barbossa.
Maybe the only downside of this movie for me was that I was expecting the original crew of the Black Pearl to make an appearance, that's aside from Gibbs of course who was part of the supporting cast for this movie. Pirates of the Caribbean is one franchise I'll never get tired of, I hope Disney keeps making more.
