1/100 GN-007 Gundam Arios Build Part I

1/100 GN-007 Gundam Arios
Decided on the 1/100 GN-007 Gundam Arios for my next build. Only had two kits left unbuilt. The other one was the non-master grade 1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame of Lowe Gule. With only that last kit remaining in my inventory I'll have to think about acquiring a new kit so that I don't relapse into my smoking habit. Yep, I use model kit building and eating as a means to break my on-again-off-again smoking habit. Have to control now my eating so that I don't bloat.

Translated Color Guide for the Gundam Arios can be found here. While translated manual for the 1/100 Gundam Arios can be found here.

As always for me, first step of the build process is to clean the plates with warm detergent water and an old toothbrush in order to remove any left over release agent from the molding process that could prevent the paint from sticking on to the model kit. During my build of the 1/100 Gundam Kyrios (sister ship of the Arios), I used Pylox Caterpillar Yellow for its main body color. This time I'm going to be using Bosny Orange Yellow.

I then dip these plates in a bucket to rinse off the detergent then leave them out to dry naturally. Will comeback for them tomorrow once they're dry in order to begin the sanding of the parts prior to painting and assembly.
