1/60 GN-001 Gundam Exia Build Part VIII

1/60 GN-001 Gundam Exia

Previous part VII of this build could be found here. Above is another cup full of parts that I had finished sanding and washing.

I don't remember anymore who taught me at work the concept of limiters and bottlenecks. In a production line there are things that hold up the production and create bottlenecks. In a manufacturing environment you want to keep those bottlenecks at a minimum otherwise you have one station in the production line working their asses off while another waiting for work. This is exactly what happened to me in the 1/60 Gundam Exia build.

My work was limited by my painting sticks. I had all the parts cut off from the runners but since I didn't have enough painting sticks to stick them on I couldn't really completely finish the painting of the legs in one sitting. The reason too why I have another stack of parts in a noodle cup. They're waiting for their turn to be painted.

Weather was also a factor today, because of the rain I couldn't finish painting this batch of parts completely. I was able to paint the colors and a layer of dull coat lacquer and panel line the parts but ran out of time to coat it with the final coat of dull lacquer. Here are the parts already panel lined with a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil waiting to be coated with a coat of Bosny Dull Laquer.

Was able to sneak in a bit to apply the final coat of dull lacquer on the feet, so at least the feet were finished today.
