RE/100 - Reborn-One Hundred 1/100
A bit late, but I did have the excuse of being under medical care, so I was out of the loop for quite a while. The announcement of a new category of Gundam model kits the RE/100, or more lengthily known as the Reborn-One Hundred class is quite a surprise really for me.
One thing I'm more surprised with is the fact that Bandai decided to go with the MSN-04 II Nightingale of Char Aznable as the first kit to be produced in this line (to be followed by the release of the MSF-007 Gundam Mk III and RX-78GP04G Gundam GP04 Gerbera). I had this belief that Bandai had this tradition of also going with the iconic RX-78-2 of Amuro Ray as the lead in kit of any new model line.
Of course for me, it's the price that really matters on whether this will be a hit or not. I often harped in this site that I wished Bandai would deliver more Non-grade 1/100 scale kits of not the Master Grade variety. Master Grades are nice but they are just priced way beyond normal means. High Grades are nice but I find the 1/144 scale too small. 1/100 Non grades are the sweet spot in price and size. Case in point, I love the Gundam 00 1/100 kits that I have in my stable of Gundam kits.
