Amazon starts to offer 3D printers and related supplies
Here's some very interesting piece of news, Amazon starts offering 3D printers from some manufacturers and their related supplies. Going all the way to even setting up a dedicated product page for 3D printers and their related raw materials.
If you are still new to this whole 3D printing thing I wouldn't recommend going out and buying one right away. I would suggest trying to learn first how to create 3D shapes and models. There's a ton of information and free 3D software out there that you can use to gain some skills by just googling it. Then you can use a third party 3D printing service like Shapeways in order to get a feel for the 3D printing process.
3D printing takes some time and could potentially be messy for the novice. If your initial experience is a bad one, you might be easily put off with the entire thing and end up missing out on this great technological paradigm shift that we are experiencing in this age. In my opinion, this could be an industrial renaissance that we are witnessing.
