GI Joe Roadblock ver 2 Action Figure
I posted a while ago about the 1984 released Roadblock action figure from the GI Joe Real American Hero series of toys by Hasbro. Well, in 1987 they re-released Roadblock with a new body design and head sculpt. Roadblock was one of my most favorite characters from the cartoon series, so I just had to have the second version of Roadblock when it came out.
In the review I posted here, I mentioned that one of the not so flattering parts of the original Roadblock figure was the seemingly disproportionate head design. This time however they rectified this flaw and I have to say that it came out well.
Like all of the 3.75 inch GI Joe figures released from 1985 onwards, the head joint allows it to swivel left and right as well as tilt upwards. Arms also allow to swivel at the elbow.
This version of Roadblock however didn't come with a backpack. Included with the kit is a machine gun and a stand for the machine gun. The machine gun included with the toy is of a new design and looks similar to the M240 machine gun
Information written at the File card for the Roadblock version 2 figure is still the same with what was written at the File card of the first Roadblock action figure.
Closeup of the chest of the Roadblock ver 2 shows what looks like a vest (bulletproof?) with a pouch on the shoulder and a knife
Here's some shots of Roadblock's machine gun
I didn't particularly like this machine gun design, so whenever I played with Roadblock I used instead the old machine gun included with the original Roadblock
