Got excited to see this in the major Japanese online hobby sites. A posting that the Soul of Chogokin GX-04S Grendizer "King of Space Set" will be re-released by Bandai in July. This was first released by Bandai in 2002. I've always been a UFO Robot Grendizer fan, having watched it as part of the Force Five series released in the United States by Jim Terry Productions.
Getter Robo G and Grendizer, both by Go Nagai, are my most favorite animes from the Giant Robot anime series that became popular in the 70's. I had a small Grendizer toy during my youth. If I remember correctly, a relative gave it to me.
Thanks to my overactive imagination, the horns of that small Grendizer toy punctured a hole in my right foot. One evening I was play acting that I was a large robot that was about to step on Grendizer, to which I did and ended up bowled on the floor crying with the rest of the household going nuts trying to stop the bleeding. If ever I decide to purchase this Grendizer toy, I'll make sure to not step on it *snicker*
