Some Kotobukiya MSG parts I ordered arrived from HobbyLink Japan last week. Ever since I saw these Modeling Support Goods (MSG) being sold at HLJ I knew that I just had to have them. Chiefly because I suck at detailing and this could do well to spice up an otherwise "dull" kit *snicker* This is easy to add to a model kit too, just some glue at the back and your all set to stick it on a model kit, before painting of course... hehehe
I ordered 4 parts, 5 actually but the other one I requested was out of stock. They seem to fly pretty quickly off the shelves of HLJ. They retail for about 200 yen at HobbyLink Japan. When I saw them for the first time I was pretty shocked that they were quite small. They are about roughly only 2.8 inches a side, pictures do easily deceive once its taken at a close up shot. Still, they were as expected.

I just had to highlight this feature right away. The plastic bag container of the Kotobukiya MSG parts are actually resealable (as long as there is still glue) because of its flap, so I'd recommend not ripping up the plastic container right away because you can use this to store the said runner once your done extracting the part. I was actually thinking of creating a hook where I can hang this, to take advantage of the hole at the top center of the packaging, for easy access during model kit building activities.
Kotobukiya MSG Square Mold II
Was thinking to use two of these to simulate a hinge or 1 big one to act as a center piece to add detail to a large space. I'm seeing about only 3 unique design in this runner but in different sizes.
Kotobukiya MSG Square Mold III
The Square Mold III has about 16 unique pairs of access panel and vent panel like parts in various sizes. Could do well to simulate those said details.
Kotobukiya MSG Minus Mold
This design has about 2 unique design that comes in 4 different sizes. For me, this would be great to accent large curves spaces that are devoid of detail.
Kotobukiya MSG Minus Mold IV
This a classic, I see this in the joints of a lot Gundam Kit. This one comes with 2 different designs in varying sizes. This would definitely look great at the end of hinged joints.
