Topped Up and Ready to Go

Topped Up and Ready to Go

Week's almost done but at least I can say that I was able to do something hobby related. And that was to top up my air tank so that I can start airbrushing again. I don't have my own compressor but what I do have is an air tank that I can just re-fill. It was my Dad's old oxygen tank that I reconfigured to accept an airbrush.

Topped Up and Ready to Go

I had it refilled at the mechanic's car shop when I was having my car repaired. I guess it reads only 90 psi because either my gauge is wrong or the calibration of the air compressor is wrong (it stops filling the tank at 100 psi). But even at only 90 psi the air will last me long enough. I remember I was able to build the 1/48 Hind, 1/48 Phantom II, 1/48 Corsair, 1/48 Hellcat and 1/48 Thunderchief with just that tank reading around 80 psi. I was using about 30 psi pressure when painting with my Badger 250-2

The last model kit I built was the 1/48 Thunderchief by Revell. This time around I will be building the 1/48 B-25J Mitchell by Revell. A little more time spent in inventory of my paints and a trip to the hardware store to buy some thinner for cleaning and I think I can start building already. Now if I only had time... *snicker*
