Back in the day when there were no computer graphics program existing, comic book artists could only rely on their skills in pencil, ink & brush when making comic books. In the 80's, the one artist I considered to be the apex in terms of artistic skill was John Byrne.
He was a great writer too as well as a controversial figure in the comicbook industry. They can say a lot of things about Mr. Byrne, but they can never say he wasn't a good artist.
Felt good spending my free time today browsing at his gallery...kicks back to old times...once again getting my nostalgia fix...
