Had fun looking at pictures from the 50th Shizuoka Hobby Show which was held of course at the mecca of Japanese model kit manufacturers, Shizuoka Japan. That’s because most of the major manufacturers are located there (Tamiya, Hasegawa, Bandai, Aoshima etc) and through their innovation, built up the model kit industry in Japan.

Just got this from HLJ, Tamiya Masking Tape Refill (6mm) and Tamiya Masking Tape Refill (10mm). The reason I’ve been wanting to get this for the longest time is because most model maker reviews I’ve read recommend to use this type of masking tape for painting.

HobbyLink Japan announced a sale again today, this time on Tamiya model kits and products. Sale is scheduled to last till May 9, 2011 at 6PM Japan Standard time. Max discount given is 80% but basing on a glance the average is around 30~50%.
