Macross Fans Rejoice! HobbyLink Japan has announced today a Christmas Sale on Macross Products. Sale will last till January 6, 2011 (6PM JST).

Closet full of Yamato Toys….saw this in one of their blog posts during one of their showroom engagements. In the pictures you get to see the recently released 1/60 VF-19S Excalibur of Emerald Force from Macross 7, and of course the highly anticipated 1/60 VF-17S Nightmare of Diamond Force that’s scheduled to be released this December. There’s also the 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie equipped with the Sound Booster that’s also out for sale already.

Announced today at HobbyLink Japan was a sale on Macross Toys, Figures and Model kits. Macross Products from such companies as Bandai, Banpresto, Cospa, Doyusha, Gourmandise, Hasegawa, JVC Entertainment, Kaiyodo, Wave, and Yamato are included in the sale. Sale will last till 6PM of November 17, 2011 JST.

In the early 80’s a young Shoji Kawamori designed the iconic VF-1A from the Super Dimension Fortress Macross anime and with it made his mark in the anime industry as well as in the hearts of Macross fans young and old alike. The pinnacle of recreation of this iconic mecha for me is that done by Yamato Toys. The Yamato 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-1A Valkyrie Mass Production Ver. is truly a perfect recreation of Shoji Kawamori’s design.
