Trying out a modification of a technique I learned at therpf forum, wherein scratch build model builders use tape and primer to make panel lines. What they do is they overspray the primer on the surface creating a thick layer, once you remove the tape then you are left with the recessed panel lines.

I was looking at this stack of blank DVD discs that had to be discarded because they were already damaged during the burn process and I hit upon the idea to make another base to be used by a still undetermined model kit in my display case.

I finished building the Z axis of the frame and attached the mini router but after this step I realized that there is a showstopper problem that has to be resolved. The major problem is that the there is some major play between the arm and the drawer slide whenever a perpendicular force is directed against the Z axis. In short that mini router is going to be pushed back because the arm isn’t strong enough to hold back against the force of the work piece pushing against it.
