Basara stands by the leg of his Battloid with a wrench. He eyes the open missile bay of his Battloid that is blistering with Missiles. Ray approaches him and asks him if he plans to remove the missiles. Basara tells Ray not to load missiles in his Valkyrie then proceeds to remove them.

Mylene gets a call from Milia while she’s in the shower. Milia tells her that she’ll allow her to join the rock band Fire Bomber and will even send some jobs along her way if she agrees to look at a picture she’s sending. Mylene is happy and teases her if she’s supposed to kill the man in the picture. Milia says yes, by piercing his heart. Milia says that the picture belongs to Diamond Force’s Gamlin Kizaki and that she’s arranged an Omiai between them. Omiai is a Japanese custom (Chinese too from what I know) where people arrange two people to meet in the hopes of them ending up in marriage.

Mylene and Basara are heading back to Akusho in her red sports car bringing groceries. Behind them is a pack of motorcycles. While driving, Mylene constantly questions Basara why he likes going out during battles and singing in the middle of it. Especially since its dangerous and nobody actually listens to his songs. She also points out that if it is to advertise the band, there are other and more safer ways of advertising to the public. She asks Basara to explain to her, but Basara just tells her that she doesn’t understand and that he’ll sing whenever he wants to.

Fire Bomber is playing in a concert. In the dark streets of Macross 7, a lady runs past a Fire Bomber poster. She is running away from some trench coated man who is chasing her. The man eventually catches up with her. In some other part of the city a lady doing aerobics while watching Fire Bomber’s performance on tv also gets attacked. Same goes for a lady in a shower.

Basara Nekki is perched on top of his Fire Red VF-19 Valkyrie and wonders out loud what he has to change in his singing so that the people in Battle will listen to his songs.

Mylene wakes everybody up in the building with her excitement in the news that the band is performing at the Super Nova event. In her excitement she mistakes Basara’s room for Ray’s room and disturbs him instead.

Basara can be seen in his apartment with his guitar composing a song. The song will eventually become the popular Fire Bomber known as “My Soul For You”

Gamlin is in the hospital visiting the semi-conscious Docker. Seen with him are the other families of the pilots who were hit by the green beam of the mysterious enemy that attacked Macross 7.

In the year 2009 the earth encountered its first alien race known as the Zentradi. It resulted in the first Galactic Space War between humanity and the aliens. A year later on the month of March the war ended and a new United Government was formed between humanity and the Zentradi. The giant sized Zentradi micronized themselves to human size and lived peacefully with the humans.

The last episode of Macross 7 starts with inter-spaced shots between the young guitar-clad Basara Nekki screaming at a mountain in the middle of a storm and Battle 7 receiving heavy damage from the energy beam of the expanding Lord Gepernich. The pinpoint barrier is not enough to hold back the energy and starts collapsing.
