3rd attempt at making a base

Finished up my 3rd attempt at making a base today with the free time I had. The instructions for the grout said that it could be subjected to foot traffic after 24 hours curing time. Since the grout wasn’t really going to be used for its intended purpose (as a spacer for tiles), but rather as terrain in my base, I didn’t really need it to totally cure. Only hard enough for it to be paintable.

Grout

Was running low on plaster of paris and the store that sells it is half a world a way from where I’m living. Because of which I decided to look for another alternative terrain material. I chanced upon some tile grout while searching through the internet and decided to give it a shot. On the way home I picked up a 2kg pack of beige colored grout from the hardware store.

Mecharium?

Display Case

We used to have an Aquarium in the house when we were growing up and it was really soothing just watching the fish swim around and listening to the hum of the aerator. I thought I was the only one in the house who felt their stress relieved by watching the fish but turns out that my mother and brother also found it relaxing.
