1/100 GN-006 Cherudim Gundam Assembly Part VI

Funny, after my over-dramatic post on Gundam Builder’s Block I actually found the urge to assemble the head of the 1/100 NG Cherudim Gundam that I was working on right after I hit “publish” on that blog post.

The face mask consists of 3 parts, the jaw, the chin (red) and the front mask part. For the mask, after painting it white, I coated it with clear coat then applied the Gundam Marker fine black, afterwards took an eraser to rub off the excess gundam marker flowing from the recesses. Lower-right picture: for the eyes you have to optional stickers, the usually dark green background with fluorescent green eyes or you can use the blue backgound with silver eyes. I stuck with the usual green on green colors.

From top-left: Starting to put together the two halves of the head by first installing the cylindrical gun camera clear parts. Lower-right picture has the thing altogether, including the v-antenna and the yellow antenna on the left side of the head. Lower-left picture, for the round thingy on the jaw of the Gundam Cherudim I just used the grey stickers that came with the kit. Didn’t bother to paint it anymore grey with either a Gundam Marker or a can of paint.

Just another shot of the head from a different angle on the left picture. There is a cover for the gun camera mounted on the forehead of Cherudim Gundam. On top of that is a clear cover which has some stickers that go along with it to give it its red color. A fumbling with the stickers and having a heck of a time trying to get them on (yep, fat fingers!) I decided to just strip the stickers off and am now planning to paint it. Right now the weathers not cooperating so I don’t have a chance to paint this yet. Basically about 90% of the head is done already save for the gun camera cover.

Part VII of this build could be found here.
