GN-007 Gundam Arios from Gundam 00 Season 2 series that was piloted by Allelujah Haptism. The Arios is a second generation Gundam having superseded the Gundam Kyrios that was also flown by Allelujah Haptism in Gundam 00 season 1. The qualities and purpose of the Arios however are still the same. Its the mobile armor Gundam of Celestial Being which has the capability to transform to fighter mode that gives it high speed and maneuverability advantage over its opponents.

Update: Bandai just released the Gundam LED light units for sale as a separate kit, so its not limited anymore to just those kits that come with LED light units.

One of the latest gimmicks that Bandai has released for Gundam Model Kits is the presence of a LED light unit in the pack. This is especially true with the Gundam 00 line of model kits because of the GN drive that glows a “fairy” green when it is in operation. For other Gundam models it is usually used to light up the eyes, or mono eye for the one eyed mobile suits *snicker*

The GN-008 Gundam Seravee made its appearance in the first episode of Gundam 00 Season 2. Piloted by Tiera Erde it is the heavy weapons specialist of Celestial Being. Aside from packing a whallop with the myriad of GN Bazooka configurations it can do, it is the only Gundam equipped with a GN Shield to protect it from attack.

Finally got to see the innards of the 1/48 Megasize RX-78 Gundam that Bandai recently released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gundam Plastic Model kits. The RX-78 was the iconic mobile suit that ushered in the real-robot genre of anime production. A lot of Gundam’s have been made but in one way or another they always pay homage to this first ever Gundam design.
