Whoa, didn’t see this coming! A Master Grade GN-X (pronounced Jinx) from the Gundam 00 Season 1 Anime. The first ever Mobile Suit used by the Earth Forces that had a fake GN Drive and could match up squarely with the Gundam’s of Celestial Being when they didn’t have their Trans Am feature on. The picture below is of an unpainted prototype of the GN-X.
It’s up for pre-order already at Amiami, the SRP is 3600 yen but they are selling it for only 2,640 yen or 25% off from the shelf price. Hobby Search is selling it for 3420 yen, 3600 yen at Hobby Link Japan, 2520 yen at HWJapan
Its expected to be available by January of 2010. Of course you still have to worry about production delays and the product being pushed out to a later date. Just look for it in their Gundam Master Grade section.
From what I remember in the series, the government forces were given 30 units of these by the Celestial Being Faction of Alejandro Corner.

This is very cool news. The GN-X is my favourite of the mass production Mobile Suits in Gundam 00. I like it more than the GN-XIII because of the binders on the torso but I also like the GN lance used by the GN-XIII.
Yeah, I myself like the design of the GN-X suits over the Ahead mobile suits. I was suprised that they went ahead with an MG design versus going for a non-scale 1/100, maybe the HG sales made good enough numbers to merit this?

I found it to be strange too since so many of the Mobile Suits from 00 have been put into the NG 1/100 kits. I was thinking that Bandai may have gone with the 0 Gundam as the second 00 MG kit since it could pair off against the Exia.
Guess you can never tell about Bandai. What I’m hoping for is a 1/100 scale Masurao or Susano used by Graham Acker/Mr. Bushido in Season 2 of Gundam 00 since they already released some 1/144 version of these.
I’d love to see the Masurao in the MG line up. I prefer its red and black colour scheme to the Susanowo’s white and black.
I hope Bandai eventually produces MG kits of the Gundam Meisters’ Mobile Suits(First or second generation) and one of each of the rest of the non Celestial Beings Suits as well.
Yeah I hope they make MG’s of the other Gundam’s of Celestial Being. I’m also hoping that they make a 1/100 of the GN Archer that gets to connect correctly with the Gundam Arios.
