Commercial Enamel Paints on Model Kits

I was practicing my battle damage painting skills here *snicker*, using a file to remove some of the top coat to mimic scratches.

Was testing out some metallic Ash Grey from Pylox here for the internal parts of the rear thruster. Came out well I have to say.

I would recommend Bosny paints. They are meant for automotive use, and are a formula of acrylic epoxy resin but they work rather well with plastic kits - I’ve been using them for years with hardly any problems. Bosny in particular is also the least stinky of the paints I’ve tried ^_^

The only issues I’ve had with them are getting the paint even - you really have to pay attention to how you use it and go on too heavy all at once. The trick is to use thin coats and have it dry a half hour between coats.

You can also try using the RJ brand of paints, since that and Bosny come from the same manufacturer, thus use a similar formula.

Been actually using Pylox and Bosny for most of my builds :D
