Yamato Toys announced a couple of weeks back that they're releasing some Macross replica Valkyrie Pilot helmets. The design's offered are similar to the ones used by Hikaru Ichijo, Roy Focker and Maximillian Jenius. Based from my understanding of the literature, this is a re-issue and that the Hikaru Ichijo version will be a limited edition only available to club members. Is there an Official Macross Club out there somewhere?, or I guess they're referring to the Yamato club members. Prepare to hold your breath though as it costs about Y41,790.
Roy Focker Version:
These are also 1:1 scale so they are wearable. I wonder though if you are allowed to remove the front part? Like what the normal Valkyrie pilots do when they are operating in earth like atmosphere so there is no need to be sealed for possible space walks in the unlikely event that you get blown out into space.
Wonder if they'll plan to make some Isamu Dyson helmets? hehehe
