P-Bandai MG 1/100 Zaku II Dozle Zabi Use English Manual & Color Guide

Released as an exclusive by the Bandai Online Hobby Shop is the Master Grade 1/100 Zaku II of Dozle Zabi. Dozle Zabi was part of the ruling Zabi family that lead the Zeonic foces during the One Year War. Fans of the series will also know that he is the father of the lone surviving Zabi family member, the Princess Mineva Lao Zabi. Who made her mark as Audrey Burne in the Gundam Unicorn series. This model kit is based off the MG MS-06F Zaku II, with only some minor revisions in the manual as stated below. What makes it unique from the other Zaku kits is the Massive Heat Hawk, the special Engraving Seals as well as the different color scheme befitting a mobile suit belonging to a member of the Imperial Zabi family.

Bandai HG 1/144 GM Sniper K9 English Manual & Color Guide

From Bandai comes the 1/144 High Grade GM Sinper K9 that they released as a 1/144 High Grade Model Kit. The GM Sniper K9 comes from the Gundam Build Fighters anime series. It belongs to the Renato brothers as seen in the series. In the original Gundam, the GM was a mass produced mobile suit that was based off the RX-78-2 Gundam. Albeit lacking the firepower of the mobile suit that it was based on, but was equipped enough to serve its purpose in the battlefield.

Pacific Rim 2 slated for April 2017 release

A bit of good news for Pacific Rim fans, from the mouth of Director Guillermo del Toro himself. Starting from now till April 2017, will begin the development of a Pacific Rim animated series, continuation of the comic book series as well as the release of the movie of course.

Bandai HG 1/144 Zaku I Thunderbolt Ver English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam Thunderbolt manga comes the Zaku I Thunderbolt released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. For a 1/144 High Grade kit, this has got have one of the most complicated Color Guides. Reminds me of the color guides of the 1/72 VF-25F Messiah's that were released a couple of years back. But despite that I love the mobile suit designs that come out of the Thunderbolt series. And aside from the designs, one other thing that I like about them is the level of detail that Bandai is able to put into them despite their small size. I am assuming this was the technology that was much touted by Bandai during the release of the Real Grade series.

Bandai MG 1/100 Turn X English Manual & Color Guide

It finally happened, Gym Ghingnham's Turn X Gundam from ∀ Gundam gets released as a 1/100 Master Grade model kit by Bandai. I like what they did with this mobile suit, especially the concept of the parts breaking up to function as independent weapons. Talk about innovating the concept of fin funnel weapons. I love the design and color scheme of this model kit, much more than the titular Turn A Gundam. Nothing new there, as I usually prefer the designs of the antagonist mobile suits in the Universal Century storyline.

From Gundam Build Fighters comes the Wing Gundam Fenice of Ricardo Fellini released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. Based off of the iconic Wing Gundam from the Gundam Wing anime series. Gundam Build Fighters is the most recent Gundam show being aired with a recent announcement that there will be a second season to succeed the 1st season.

Bandai HG 1/144 Zssa (Unicorn Ver) English Manual, Paint Conversion & Color Guide

From Gundam Unicorn comes the Zssa, released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. The Zssa first made its appearance in the ZZ Gundam series. I love the design of this, particularly because of the green color scheme and the seeming uniqueness of the design. Most Zeon mobile suits are always a derivative or pay homage to an older suit. But this one looks unique in its own right. It has that Hunchback of Notre Dame look going for it *snicker*. But kidding aside I really am infatuated with this mobile suit.

Bandai HG 1/144 Perfect Strike Gundam English Manual & Color Guide

Released last year by Bandai is the Perfect Strike Gundam of Kira Yamato as a 1/144 High Grade model kit. The Perfect Strike Gundam is the Strike Gundam fitted with the Multi Assault Striker pack. The Strike Gundam makes its appearance in the Gundam Seed anime series. If you haven't watched it yet, I think the entire Gundam Seed series has been posted on Youtube by the Official Gundam site.

Bandai MG 1/100 Strike Rouge + Ootori English Manual & Color Guide

Released last year by Bandai was the Strike Rouge with Ootori as a 1/100 Master Grade model kit from Gundam Seed. The Strike Rouge was piloted by Cagali Yula Athha from the Gundam Seed series. Cagali is an Orb princess and can be seen in the first episode as a representative of Orb observing the construction of the Gundams in the hidden Earth Federation base. Of course we all know what happens next when Athrun and his pals hijack the Gundams but leaving the Aile Strike to fall in series protagonist, Kira Yamato's, hands. The Strike Rouge was based off of the Aile Strike and was seen in the latter parts of the series.

Bandai HG 1/144 Gouf R35 English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam Build Fighters comes the Gouf R35 of Mr. Ral (Ral-san) depicted as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. I've always like the Gouf mobile suit. You can clearly see its evolution from the Zaku design but with more exaggerated lines and lengthened curves. Punctuated further by the curved horns on the shoulder armors.

Fort Apocalypse on the Commodore 64

After all these years... Fort Apocalypse. Let me say that again, Fort Apocalypse. I realized now why I couldn't find this classic game was because I kept thinking that it was Fourth Apocalypse. I guess for a second grader the word "fort" was not yet in my vocabulary.

From the Gundam Thunderbolt manga come the Zaku II High Mobility Type "Psycho Zaku" Gundam Thunderbolt Ver. released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. If there ever is a need to give an example for gorgeously excessive, then the Zaku II High Mobility Type "Psycho Zaku" fits the bill to a "T". Love the designs that come out of Gundam Thunderbolt because of the copious amount of armaments and the bulkiness of the mobile suits.

But then again I was already an adult at that time and during the time I was reading comic books as a teenager I never heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Released as a 1/100 Master Grade model kit by Bandai is the Universe Booster from Gundam Build Fighters. The Universe Booster is a support unit for the Build Strike Gundam of series protagonist Sei Iori as it can function as a standalone fighter. From the Universe Booster comes the Plavsky Power Gate and Plavsky Wing functions of the Build Strike Gundam.

From Gunpla Build Fighters comes the cute and loveable Beargguy III (San) of China Kousaka. Released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. Once again continuing the trend of transforming the ACguy to a cute teddy bear, that was was started in Gunpla Builders.

From Gundam Build Fighters and released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai is the Qubeley Papillon of Aila Jyrkiainen. Great color scheme and redesign of the Qubeley of Zeta Gundam antagonist, Haman Karn. What made the original Qubeley a deadly foe in the hands of a NewType was the 10 independent funnels that could attack an opponent from 10 different locations.

Bandai HG 1/144 Miss Sazabi English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam Build Fighters comes the Miss Sazabi of Aila Jrykiainen released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. I have to admit that I was a bit offended by this version of the iconic Sazabi. Given my affinity for Char Aznable and my love for the original Sazabi mobile suit. But I guess to each his own and so I therefore hold my peace.

Bandai 1/144 HG Cross bone Gundam Maoh English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam Build Fighters anime series comes the Cross Bone Gundam Maoh piloted by Mao Yasaka released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit by Bandai. This is of course based off the Cross Bone Gundam from the Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam series. Aside from the color scheme, one glaring difference is the pronounced skull in the chest. Kinda reminds me of Gaiking...snicker.

Bandai MG 1/100 RX-178B Build Gundam Mk-II English Manual & Color Guide

Released this March by Bandai was the 1/100 Master Grade RX-178B Build Gundam Mk II of Reiji from Gundam Build Fighters anime series. The Build Gundam Mk II was designed by series protagonist Sei Iori but used by Reiji. It's a variation of the iconic Mk II from the Z Gundam series. I haven't gotten time to watch the Gundam Build Fighters series but judging from the quality of the mobile suit designs coming out of the show it makes me want to wish to have time to watch it.

RE/100 - Reborn-One Hundred 1/100

A bit late, but I did have the excuse of being under medical care, so I was out of the loop for quite a while. The announcement of a new category of Gundam model kits the RE/100, or more lengthily known as the Reborn-One Hundred class is quite a surprise really for me.

Bandai HG 1/144 Kshatriya Repaired English Manual & Color Guide

Been looking forward to this release last month by Bandai of the 1/144 High Grade version of the Kshatriya Repaired. In the Gundam UC OVA's the Kshatriya was badly beaten by the Gundam Unicorn. Marida Cruz and the Kshatriya were therefore captured by the Earth Federation forces. The Kshatriya was "repaired" by the Earth Federation forces, lacking the original parts, it ended up looking like a Frankenstein mishmash of mobile suit parts. Of course I still prefer the original version of the Kshatriya, such a glorious beast of a mobile suit. Really looking forward to watch the latest installment of the Gundam UC OVA.

Out Sick

Been out sick for about 3 weeks, spent a couple of days in the hospital having antibiotics given to me intravenously to treat a huge mound of abscess that sprouted suddenly out of nowhere. So far the results are good as the abscess has reduced in size tremendously.
