Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 5

Mark your calendars Star Wars fans as Saturday, September 29th will be the day that George Lucas and crew fires up Season 5 of the Clone Wars CGI series. This is supposed to be the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, so each episode is not something that you'll want to miss.

Bandai SD The O English Manual & Color Guide

Paptimus Scirocco’s infamous mobile suit from the Zeta Gundam Anime, The O. This model kit was released in 2001 by Bandai for their Super Deformed line. If your not into SD kits, an 1/144 High Grade kit as well as an 1/100 Master Grade Kit was also released of this beautiful mecha.

Mechwarrior Online

Currently on closed beta testing is Mechwarrior Online, a modernized MechWarrior game with online gameplay. Despite being on closed beta, you can just register at their site in order to reserve your pilot name. Review of this game can be found at at IGN, here. For more information, try to read up on the FAQ for more information. I doubt my lumbering PC can handle this though.

Bandai MG 1/100 Buster Gundam English Manual & Color Guide

From Gundam Seed comes the Buster Gundam released as a 1/100 Master Grade model kit by Bandai. In the anime, the Buster Gundam was stolen by Dearka Elsman, along with some ZAFT commandos, from a secret base, in one of the colonies operated by the Earth Alliance.

Bandai HG 1/144 Clanche English Manual & Color Guide

Released by Bandai this Septembed is the 1/144 High Grade Clanche from the currently ongoing Gundam AGE anime series. A nifty feature of this model kit is its ability to transform to a wave rider mode aside from its robot mode.

Bandai HG 1/144 RGM-79SP GM Sniper II English Manual & Color Guide

From Bandai comes the GM Sniper II released as a 1/144 High Grade model kit. The GM Sniper II made its appearance in the Gundam 0080 OVA War in the pocket. Aside fromt he GM Sniper II, the kit also comes with a smaller Draken E mecha.

Voyager Class: Optimus Prime from Transformers Prime

Released last year by Takara Tomy for Hasbro was the Voyager Class Optimus Prime from the Transformers Prime cartoon series. This is the version that was released in Australia and some parts of South East Asia.

Kotobukiya 1/72 HMM EZ-049 Berserk Fuhrer English Manual & Color Guide

From Kotobukiya comes the 1/72 Highend Master Model Berserk Fuhrer of Vega from Zoids New Century. In the Official English translated version of the anime it is referred to as the Berserk Fury. In the anime, Vega is a gifted child mecha pilot employed by the villainous Backdraft group as a champion for their unsanctioned games.

Bandai SD MS-06F Zaku II English Manual & Color Guide

Released in 2001 by Bandai was the Super Deformed variant of the MS-06F Zaku II. The Zaku II was the workhorse of the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War as seen in the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series.

1/48 B-25J Mitchell by Revell-Monogram

Something that I wish Revell would release again, the 1/48 B-25J Mitchell. I built a kit like this in the 3rd grade, at that time it was done by Monogram (before they were purchased by Revell) and it had the "Panchito" graphic on its nose. I've been looking for this kit for a long time already and its always out of stock.

1/60 VF-1 Super & Strike Parts & Option Parts for Pre-Order

Also scheduled for re-release next month is the 1/60 Super & Strike Parts for the VF-1 by Yamato Toys. The difference between this and the original is that it comes with Option Parts. I actually did a review of the original 1/60 Super & Strike Parts which came without the option parts. I also translated to manual of that to English, you can find it here.

Yamato 1/60 VE-1 Elintseeker with Option Parts up for Pre-Order

Scheduled for release in October is a re-release of the very popular Perfect Transformation 1/60 VE-1 Elintseeker by Yamato Toys. The Elintseeker made its appearance (for a very ver short duration) in the Macross Do You Remember Love movie.

Yamato 1/60 VF-4G Lightning III for Pre-Order

I forgot to post about this since I was tad bit busy these past few weeks, but the price of the much anticipated Perfect Transformation 1/60 VF-4G Lightning III was announced already by Yamato Toys to be at 26,985 yen. Schedule of release is already announced to be on December of this year. Product page of this has been up for quite some time at Yamato Toys website.

Kotobukiya ZOE: Jehuty HD Edition English Manual & Color Guide

From Anubis: Zone of The Enders comes the Jehuty, but this time released by Kotobukiya as an HD edition. A regular version was also released by Kotobukiya. I am truly enamored by the elegant lines and glowing effect of this mecha. It definitely surpasses the mark of what I classify as a beautiful design.

Bandai SD Guntank English Manual

Released in 2001 by Bandai was the Super Deformed version of the venerable Guntank from the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. A gimmik of the model kit that is being touted by Bandai is its ability to swap its lower extremities with the SD RX-78-2 Gundam.

1/60 VF-1A Miria Fallyna Jenius Version Build Part VI

Previous post on this build could be found here. This part of the build starts with the backpack unit of the VF-1A Valkyrie. As a backgrounder, this build is of the 1/60 VF-1A No Paint Kit w/ Option Parts made by Yamato Toys. And with it I'm attempting to convert it into a fictionalized VF-1A of Miria Fallyna Jenius following the color motif of Max Jenius

1/60 VF-1A Miria Fallyna Jenius Version Build Part V

Picking up from where I left off of my build of the 1/60 VF-1A No Paint kit by Yamato Toys and converting it into a fictionalized VF-1A Valkyrie of Miria Fallyna Jenius. Part IV of this build can be found here. This build starts with the continued assembly of the chest piece. In the assembly of the chest part that holds the chest plate, some 11 mm 2 diam shafts will be required.

Tomica Toyota FJ Cruiser

Got this for my son a couple of days back. A 1/66 diecast Toyota FJ Cruiser from the Tomica line of Takara Tomy. The FJ Cruiser is a throwback design to the Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser of the 70's

Syringe for measuring paint

I just realized that the best way to measure paint for paint mixing is by using a Syringe. Because of the correct volume measurement that can be had because of the scale on the side. That and a little math work to get the correct volume percentages to make the color.

1/60 VF-1A Miria Fallyna Jenius Version Build Part IV

This next build step starts with the assembly of the neck joint of the Battroid. It actually breaks into 3 parts and is connected together by metal shafts. The two shafts needed to build it are a 10mm 1.5 diameter shaft and a 13mm 1.5 diameter shaft. Once again I use my trusty ruler to check if I have the correct shaft by measuring the length and its diameter. Oh and before I forget, part III of this build can be found here.

1/60 VF-1A Miria Fallyna Jenius Version Build Part III

Part II of this build can be found here. Next step to work on this build are the legs. The first part to work on as indicated by the manual are the thighs, specifically the intake fan detail. The intake fans I painted with Pylox Black. While waiting for that part to dry I worked on the knee parts of the leg.
