Went to the zoo today together with my family and cousins of my son. While there we made sure to visit an old friend.
Am happy to see that that little chick is doing well and can now stand on his own. There's the photo of him above being able to feed himself already. The heron is actually still a juvenile so I'm expecting that he will still grow a little bit more.
Didn't catch sight of the recent heron we rescued, I'd expect to see him there in a couple of weeks with the other one probably being let go already once it can survive on its own.
